Contained about Girieud
(...) We would like to point out with sympathy that it deserves the exhibition of the contemporary landscape, which is held at the Palais de Marbre, avenue des Champs Elysées. No overload: one painting per painter. And the painters are, first, Monticelli, Van Gogh, Jongkind, Seurat, Morisot, Sisley, Gauguin, Pissarro, Cézanne, Henri.Rousseau, Renoir - we place them according to the obituary date; then Monet, Guillaumin, Lebourg, Pointelin, Quost; then Luce, Signac, Bonnard, Vuillard, Matisse, Roussel, Vallotton, Marquet, Vlaminck, Derain, Maurice Denis, Puy, Dufrénoy, Valtat, Lacoste, d'Espagnat, Chabaud, Flandrin, Laprade, Manguin, Lebasque, Charlot, Rameau, AlbertAndré; then again Utrillo, Friesz, Favory, Asselin, Yves Alix, Gromaire, Bouche, Lombard, Girieud, Marchand, Lotirron, Waroquier, Daragnès, André Mare, Dubreuil, Deshayes, Zarraga, Ekegardh, Céria, Guindet, Mainssieux, Léopold Lévy, Kisling , Soutine, Coubine; then Corneau, Jacques Blot, Chavenon, Clairin, Mme Crissay, Demeunsse.Farrey, Fournier, Odette des Garets, Sabbagh, Quizet, Jacques Thévenet. Certainly there are quite a few hiatuses in this list. We search in vain for several names, of those who do not shirk when we speak of the contemporary landscape. And our colleague Louis Vauxcelles first recognized him, who organized this landscaping presentation.
