Contained about Girieud
Among those who stick fairly firmly to the origins of the great movement of Independence, know Mr. Girieud whose Tentation de saint Antoine imposes itself executed among the strangest conflicts of the squeaky greens, the screaming reds, the barking blues, and giving the impression of Byzantine images in the time of the emperor Constantine. This is not the way Vinci painted it. In truth, it is quite another thing, and it was Mr. Girieud’s obvious application to amaze us. It has succeeded beyond all expectations, and it is already a success.
